Maple syrup is made from the sap of maple trees. In the cold climate of Canada where it grows, the trees store starch in their roots and trunks before winter. In early spring, and for only a few weeks as it gradually darkens and turns bitter, they make holes in the tree trunks and collect the sap in buckets. Ola Bio maple syrup is heated after collection to remove the water it contains in its natural form. Today
the name is protected, and there are grades given to distinguish
their quality. Extra Light, Grade A and Grade B. The best is
Extra Light and it is the early, first harvest. Its special characteristics
are its manganese and zinc content, also know
