SOUR TRACHANAS 400g ALL ORGANIC
Sour trachanas is made from fresh milk that has soured (cow's or sheep's or goat's) or from cow-sheep yogurt with the addition of wheat flour or semolina. In some regions of our country and depending on the recipes, a mixture of wheat and semolina is used in the preparation of trachanas. It is also possible to use sourdough. Depending on the flour or semolina used, trachanas is colored white or more yellowish, respectively.
Trachanas is a traditional Greek type of pasta made from flour and milk and has a granular and irregular shape. The grains are approximately 2-3 millimeters in diameter. It has high nutritional value, few calories and low fat. Our country claims the title of the country with the largest variety of types of trahana and dishes based on it. We can cook it as a soup either with enough water, or thicker. The cooking time of trahana is usually short, about 15-20 minutes. Sometimes it is also cooked with tomato.
